The king of chocolate desserts - brownie

I´m addicted to this sweet dessert. I´ve tasted many version of brownies and some baked on my own. Simply I love it.

This was Christmas brownie with gingerbread man :)


Already before I visited England I´d tried to bake brownies at home. Actually, brownies have an origin in the USA but in England is popular as well. It is named after its colour and has many variants with which can be baked, f. e. with Lindt chocolate, M&M bonbons (in the photo below), Nutella, Oreo, Salted Caramel and many and many other. Simply you can bake brownies with what you like and that´s what I enjoy on it. In England I even tasted "Red Velvet brownie" but it didn´t taste like the typical brownie and wasn´t too sweet.

Then I´ve had "blondie", which has a white colour unlike from brownie and for me was sweeter.

There are two types of brownie dough. One is stiffer and the second one is rather fluffy. It´s depending on the density of brownie.

On the internet, you find many variants of brownies recipes or you can try these which I tried on my own.


Lindt Chocolate Brownie


Ingredients:

  • 350g Lindt chocolate sliced into pieces

  • 250g butter sliced into pieces

  • 3 big or 4 small eggs

  • 250g sugar (the best is brown sugar)

  • 85g plain flour

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder


  1. The oven to preheat for 160 °C. The square baking form or baking tray wipe with butter and then put the baking paper on it.

  2. Chocolate melt with butter. Eggs mix as long as they are light and then add sugar and mix together until is the mixture dense and shiny. Gently stir into the chocolate, on the top sift flour with baking powder and mix into the smooth structure. Pour into the form and bake 30-35 minutes until the surface is firm, slightly glossy but dry. Or if is brownie ready we can check it with a skewer. The brownie should be dense and moist so wet crumbs should stay on the skewer.

  3. During the chilling process, the dough will be more done than immediately after baking. Baked brownies cool in form at least an hour and then cut them into square pieces and let them still cooled.

And that´s it.


Oreo Brownie


Ingredients:

  • the same like in the previous recipe but in addition Oreo or Oreo chocolate and instead of Lindt chocolate as the dough base we can use another chocolate


  1. The same like in the previous recipe.

  2. The same like in the previous recipe but! At first, pour half of the dough into the baking form then put sliced oreo chocolate or Oreo biscuits on the whole dough. Then pour with another half of dough. Then bake for 30-35 minutes like in the previous recipe.

  3. The same like in the previous recipe.

And like this, you can add whatever you want into your #brownies. Either to the middle of dough or on the top of the brownies dough. :)
