These are my tips for effective learning English. Hope it inspires you. Which tip for learning a language do you have?

  • read English books or magazines (translate those words you don´t understand and write them down - if you write them down you will remember them better)

  • listen to English music and translate the lyrics which you don´t understand (new words write down)

  • watch movies or serials in English with subtitles (for beginners in your language subt., after then with English subt. and then without any subt.)

  • talk! with native and not only with native English speakers (every time when it´s possible - at the party, on vacation, at school.. don´t be afraid to talk when you have a chance to talk in English, talk, talk, even only with yourself at home :D )

  • watch videos with English lessons (for example eng.vid.com)

  • buy an English textbook and practice English

  • create a blog or Instagram or whatever in English and write, write, write

  • the best - travel abroad (English speaking countries where English is the first language would be the best), at least for a few months, but don´t stop using English when you come back (you can use these methods :) )

At least one of these methods you can really use every day.

English is the most widely spoken language in the world and it is important and useful to know it. I´m writing this because there are still so many people who don't understand English and it's a shame. It doesn´t have to mean to be perfect at English, to have perfect grammar and accent. But at least to be able to communicate effectively in everyday situations where English may come in handy.
